The Ash Boutique Vacation Rentals

The Ash is a fantastic choice for a vacation rental while exploring Sault Ste. Marie and the surrounding area. The rooms are large, extremely clean, and have everything you need. It is a short, 4-minute drive to the downtown area and the Soo Locks. In addition, the hosts communicate clearly and are very friendly. It was perfect for our family and we cannot recommend highly enough. Thanks for a great stay!!

I travel for work often and recently have stayed at The Ash on 2 different occasions. The first a 1 bedroom the second a 2 bedroom, Both with a beautiful astatic and clean/cozy environment. The easy check in allows me to just come and go as I need without interrupting others. It is never too full to park and meeting the neighboring guest is always a treat. The area is perfectly located. Well worth the time to stay as the Owners clearly love what they are doing.

Stayed two nights in a two bedroom, two bathroom unit. Cute and clean but could use some improvements. Bathroom doors would only shut if you pushed really hard on them. Room had a strong mildew smell so we had to get a couple of air fresheners. Getting the heat to work was a struggle. Didn’t use the kitchenette for anything other than coffee but it was nice. Beds were comfortable. Nice location. Good price.

I stayed here for two nights and had the best experience. Due to an honest mistake on my part, I had only booked one night instead of two. Alexz handled the situation with such respect, kindness, and professionalism. She went out of her way to help us secure the same room for the second night, which made everything seamless and stress-free. The space itself was adorable—thoughtfully designed, cozy, and spotlessly clean. Every detail felt intentional and welcoming, and it was clear that a lot of care has gone into making this a special place for guests. The bed was comfortable, the amenities were on point, and the overall vibe was both relaxing and inspiring. I can’t recommend this place highly enough and will definitely be back the next time I’m in the area. A true gem!

Great clean spot to crash. Small , lesser quality ikea grade furniture, I prefer the motel vs. Hotel setup. Book, pull up infront of your room and crash. Simple and easy. Never talked to a single person. 1 mile from the i500 track.

Good value; good communication from hosts; clean, attractive, thoughtful, and comfortable accommodations. We stayed in "The Clubhouse" which had a full living room with fireplace, sofa, and bar. This would be particularly good asthe HQ for a group.

We recently fished a bass tournament on the St Mary’s River and have stayed at the ash twice now when the West Michigan Bass Classic is held in the Soo. Clean comfortable room, and they were very accommodating to our need to be able to park 2 boats that needed battery charging each day. We had everything we needed-TV with football games on, refrigerator, coffee maker, 2 beds and a nice shower. It’s a great town, and we will be staying at the Ash again and recommending to our fellow competitors!
